Aprovecho la ocasión para expresar mi gratitud y aprecio por su participación en el XL Período Ordinario de Sesiones de la Asamblea General de la OEA “Paz, Seguridad, y Cooperación en las Américas” que se llevó a cabo del 6 al 8 de junio del 2010 en Lima, Perú. Sus valiosos aportes y recomendaciones contribuyeron de manera significativa al trabajo de la OEA y los Estados Miembros, especialmente en las áreas de fortalecimiento de la gobernabilidad democrática y acceso a la justicia, la promoción y protección de los derechos humanos, y el fomento del desarrollo integral y la seguridad multidimensional en las Américas.
